HC Serial Cable

The HC Serial cable connects your computer to the serial port on the base of the hand controller. This cable can be used by planetarium software or by NexRemote to control the telescope.

These cables can be purchased from Celestron directly, at various places on the internet, or by sending an email to andre@astrogeeks.com. Information on making your own cable can be found below.

PC Port Cable

The PC Port cable is often called a "programming" cable and can be used with NexRemote or to upgrade the motor controllers on the NexStar GPS telescopes.
